Our Pastors
Preacher Wei Xu was born in 1963 in Hubei Province, China. After completing his undergraduate and Master degree education in China, he went to the University of British Columbia in Canada in 1989 to pursue Ph.D. in Forestry. He was saved at the university bible fellowship in 1992.
After obtaining his Ph.D. in 1994, Wei continued postdoctoral research and then R&D in the industry for over 20 years during which he felt the calling several times. In 2015, he enrolled in Logos Evangelical Seminary while still employed, and graduated with a Master of Arts in Christian Studies in 2018. In 2019, Wei joined Logos Chicago campus to promote theological education and recruit students in Midwest region. He became full time minister of RCCC April 1, 2021.
Preacher Xu is married to Xiling Guo for over 30 years; they have three children Jay, Jenny and Sarah.
Pastor Huang was born in a Christian family in 1951. At the age of seventeen, he was saved by the Lord and baptized into the body of Christ. Afterwards, whether it is in school or in employment, he learned to serve the Lord either in the school fellowships or churches. In 1979, Pastor Huang and Sister Lee, Suwei were married. They were blessed by God and had three sons. Pastor Huang went to the University of Minnesota for a PhD degree in statistics in 1985. After his graduation in 1990, he was hired by IBM branch division in Rochester, Minnesota. Pastor Huang participated in the preparation and establishment of this church in 1997. He was ordained as an elder of the church in 2009. Pastor Huang retired from IBM in 2013 and received theological training, immediately. In 2016, he obtained a master's degree in theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary at Atlanta, Geogia. In 2018, he was called to serve as the pastor of the church.
